How OX started
Trained by the biggest. Run like a local.
David began as a gas engineer with British Gas, servicing, repairing and installing boilers, before going independent.
He started out in Bicester and moved to Brackley fifteen years ago, building a team around him as the work grew. Boilers led to central heating and smart controls, and then to air conditioning, which is now the bulk of what OX does. Most weeks are spent installing and servicing cooling in homes across three counties, with heating keeping the winters busy.
It is still a local firm, and a specialist one rather than a general-purpose trade. The same people quote the job, do the job, and come back if anything needs looking at afterwards. Nobody gets handed to a subcontractor between the survey and the install.

That is most of it. Air conditioning and heating both mean somebody in your house, drilling walls and running pipework, and then a system you have to live with for the next fifteen years. It is worth caring who does it.

Where we work
Banbury sits in the middle of the patch, and most jobs are within half an hour of it: the villages either side of the M40, out towards Chipping Norton and Hook Norton, down the A4260 through Adderbury and Deddington, and across to Bicester and Woodstock. Daventry and Southam are covered too, over the county line.
